Pastor Mark’s Announcement

lead pastor ANNOUNCEMENT

Letter from the Board of directors

Faith E Church,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

It is with sadness that we write to you today to inform you that the Faith E Board of Directors have accepted the resignation of Pastor Mark Erickson effective January 15, 2022.  Mark, with deep regret, has chosen to resign for personal and family reasons that need his prolonged attention.  Mark’s desire is to see Faith E thrive and grow.

Mark came to us from Pine River Minnesota with his wife Shellie and four children: Luke, Ryan, Seth, and Ellie.  Mark brought to the table ministerial experience and a pastor’s heart. Mark is a man of integrity, wisdom, and has a heart for the Lord and for the people of Faith E.

Mark served as a trusted associate under Steve Strutz for about nine years before stepping into the role of Lead Pastor in 2020.  When the baton of leadership was ultimately passed to him he walked into that position in a humble, confident, God-honoring way and led well. He brought his stable leadership style to the position and was able to navigate through some difficult times which included the COVID-19 pandemic. Mark is a solid leader whose leadership and friendship will be missed, and we are grateful to have had him as an integral part of the Faith E journey.

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.  -Ecclesiastes 3:1

The Western Conference of the Evangelical Church and the Faith E Board of Directors have appointed Pastor Paul McClintock as the acting Lead Pastor, for a period of six months.  Paul is an effective leader and has been serving in the lead pastor role through Mark’s sabbatical.  We are confident in the staff and the direction of Faith E Church.

Let’s join together with gratitude and appreciation of Pastor Mark, Shellie, and their family for their time with our family here at Faith E Church.  Church members will have an opportunity at the January 9 church services to write a thank you to Mark, as well as provide a gift if you feel so inclined.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.   -1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Sincerely,
Faith E Board of Directors
