The Discipleship Pathway

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
-Matthew 28:19-20

The final command of the risen Christ is to make disciples.
What does it mean to be a disciple? And how do you make one?
A disciple is a person who follows Jesus becoming like him in thoughts, words, and deeds.

The goal of the discipleship pathway is life transformation. You’ll discover what it means to walk in the way of Jesus, to thrive in community, and share God's redemptive plan for humanity with your neighbor. Our aim is to be holistic and simple; thoughtful, and accessible to anyone. This pathway eliminates the guess work and typical problems we face as we determine our next steps as a disciple.

How the pathway works

There are three areas of the pathway that are distinct, but also intersect in many ways. They are: Experiencing God, Growing Together, and Reaching Others.

The pathway is not a list of tasks for you to simply 'check-off', it is a way of living life. It's less about completing specific tasks, and more about connecting with others and growing closer to Jesus. All three areas of the pathway are meant to be experienced at the same time. At times you may find yourself leaning into one area a little more than the others, but all three should be present in your relationship with Christ, his bride the Church, and the people we're called to reach.

If you are a new disciple, we'd recommend:
1) Experiencing God: complete 'Your Next 2 Weeks' Disciple's Guide
2) Growing Together: join one of our Small Groups
3) Reaching Others: share how Jesus has changed your life

If you have been a disciple for a while:
1) Experiencing God: begin to spend more time with God in prayer and memorize scripture
2) Growing Together: mentor another disciple
3) Reaching Others: serve on a team at Faith E

These are just a few things to get you started, with these essentials in place, begin to dig deeper into the other aspects of the pathway. Here are the three basic components of our pathway, follow the links for more information on each one.
