LOVE GOD.

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
— Matthew 22:37

Stop. Read that verse again… heart, soul, mind. Jesus is calling us to love God with ALL of you. A fully-surrendered disciple engages in daily devotion to God by spending time in prayer, reading Scripture, and repenting of sin in their lives.

Becoming a fully-surrendered disciple starts with loving God.

  • "…present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." – Romans 12:1-2

LOVE OTHERS.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common... And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved." — Acts 2:42-47

  • All disciples should attend a local church. Scripture teaches us that each disciple should be committed to, involved in, and supportive of a local church. When the church is praising the Lord, all disciples should want to join in the praise; when the church is praying for others, all disciples should want to join in the prayer; when the church is studying the Word, all disciples should want to join in the learning.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” —Matthew 28:19-20
