What’s next?

  • Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

SPIRITUAL PRACTICES

Read Acts Ch. 9.

We learned this week that we should allow God’s Word to guide and direct our daily lives. As you read Acts 9, look for ways that God guided and directed the lives of the people in the early church too.

Next Week.
We’re excited to begin to study the life and ministry of the Apostle Paul. To learn how he lived as a disciple of Christ so that we can ‘follow Paul’s example as he follows Christ’ (1 Cor. 11:1).

DISCUSSION GUIDE

Personal Reflection Questions:

  1. How does the metaphor of God's Word as a lamp to your feet impact your own walk with God? Consider specific instances where His guidance has illuminated your path.

  2. In what ways do you actively seek and engage with God's Word to receive the guidance and direction described in this verse? Reflect on your habits of reading, studying, and meditating on Scripture. Commit to a couple of small sustainable changes for this next year.

Group Reflection Questions:

  1. Share a personal experience with the group when you felt God's Word provided guidance and direction in a specific situation. How did it impact your decision-making process and the outcome?

  2. As a group, discuss practical ways to encourage one another in consistently relying on God's Word for guidance in our daily lives. As a group, develop a plan to encourage one another to get into God’s Word regularly this next year.
